    Join us for the 2024 Music Meets Medicine Holiday Fundraising event to benefit this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing instruments, lessons and other musical opportunities for patients and former patients of children’s hospitals. BYO Musicians donate talents to form bands and musical acts for charities that need live musicians for their events, offering a great way for members to give back to our community.     1. Reservations

    There is no charge for admission, but all attendees (including musicians) MUST register:

    • Please create an account or log in using your previously established account (we have found that if you have logged in with Gmail before, the normal login may “grey” out – please use your Google login if this occurs).
      • On mobile devices, click the menu in the top right and pick tickets from the menu. 
      • On PCs, pick tickets from the left menu. Fill in the number of tickets you want.

    2. Auction

    • Bidding – Please plan to bid on items or make a cash donation as the purpose of the event is to raise money for Music Meets Medicine. The auction site link is the same as the above link for registration.
    • Donations – Please help us with fundraising by donating or checking with your family and friends for a donation to Music Meets Medicine. Details are below. Please e-mail Jane McGregor at jane@janemcgregor.net (collecting items) and Brad Bush at jbradleybush@gmail.com (adding items to website) to let them know of your donation. Donations can also be brought early the night of the event. 

    Examples of popular items:

    • Travel packages like Airbnb and hotel stays, airline tickets. 
    • Sports memorabilia like signed jerseys, balls, shoes, posters, etc.
    • Experiences like weekend stays at a lake house, unique dinner events or unique musical experiences (Past wine tasting nights have been a huge hit!).
    • Tickets to a DFW area event (in December or in 2025) such as one of our DFW area professional sports teams, a concert, an art event, etc.
    • Gift cards ($100 or more) from a local DFW business or a national retailer. 
    • Unique training like music lessons, golf lessons, flower arrangement lessons, or anything people would be interested in learning. 
    • Take home items like guitars (always popular), musical equipment, artwork, women’s designer jewelry, watches, handbags, etc. 
    • Gift baskets or packages with a theme; for example, beauty products in a gift basket perhaps with a spa gift certificate included.
    • The ideas above are meant to help you think through what works at a fundraising auction. Feel free to be creative! 

    Please provide the following information for each item:

    • Exact name (brand, etc.)
    • Short description
    • Value, if possible
    • Starting bid suggestion, if you have one
    • Picture(s) (either generic from the web, i.e. bottle of wine, or of the item)

    As a reminder, all BYOM live events remain subject to the following BYO Musicians terms and conditions:

    Risk Factors: No one can eliminate the risk that persons who attend a live gathering with unknown persons could become exposed to, or infected by, COVID-19 or any variant or other highly contagious disease (collectively, “COVID”) as a result of attending the live gathering. In particular, it should be noted that risk factors include the following: (a) the vaccination status of persons who attend a live gathering will not be known or required to be documented, (b) exposure risks for unvaccinated persons are considerably higher than for vaccinated persons, (c) vaccine effectiveness may be limited or unknown against new variants, (d) there is no assurance that the persons who are present at a live gathering will ascertain and voluntarily comply with all applicable health and safety guidelines and protocols, (e) there will be no control over the number, or COVID related status, of persons who may be present at a live gathering, or safety precautions implemented at any facility, and (f) neither BYO Musicians nor any venue will be able to enforce individual compliance with health and safety guidelines or provide any assurances regarding the safety of a location.

    Assumption of Risk: BYO Musicians recommends that all persons who attend a live gathering follow all federal, state and local safety and COVID mitigation guidelines applicable to gatherings of persons with unknown vaccination status, including masking, social distancing and refraining from attending by persons who have known COVID symptoms or who may have high risk medical conditions. However, many persons who are not associated with BYO Musicians may be present at a live gathering and may not follow any applicable COVID mitigation guidelines and restrictions. All persons who accept the invitation to attend a live gathering shall be deemed to have assumed all COVID-related risks.

    Hold Harmless: Each person who accepts the invitation to attend a live gathering shall be deemed to have acknowledged and agreed that such person holds harmless and releases BYO Musicians and its Board of Directors, officers and members from and against all liability, claims or demands of any kind for any loss, injury, or damages, including illness, disability or death, resulting from or related to any COVID exposure.
