BYO Flash Jam for Charity

BYO Members,

C.C. Young has invited us back on Saturday February 29th from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Busicians will gather at C.C. Young Senior Living Center in the Hillside room to play music for residents of the Assisted Living unit of this facility.

We are looking for 10-12 Busicians for this and will take the first ones that sign up. Please hit the sign up button below and claim your spot. We need everyone to sign up as space is limited.

Although we do not practice in advance, we circulate song lists and keys and select a song leader for the songs, so if you show up and we do not know you are coming, you will not know what songs we are playing and will not have songs selected for you to lead. We adapt on the fly if it happens, but its a better experience for everyone if we know who is coming at least several days in advance.

This will be primarily an acoustic affair, perfect for stringed instruments, although if you want to bring a bass or keyboard with a small amp that is fine. We encourage percussionists to bring small instruments such as bongos, cajon, shakers, anything relatively portable and not too loud (be creative). There is a piano onsite for our keyboard players.

Our audience will average 85 years old so you will see some music in the songbook that is chosen with that in mind. We definitely need vocalists for lead and harmony in addition to playing our instruments. C.C. Young Senior Care is very excited to have us back again.
