MONTHLY BYO BUSICIAN BREAKFAST MEETING

"Bridging the Gap Between the Sound Guy and The Artist" is our topic this month. Our guest speaker will be Mark Randall, audio engineer with experience in live sound, radio production and recording bands in the studio.

Mark got his start at January Sound in Carrollton, learning from mentor Rick Rooney before working as an engineer first at SG Studios and then at his own studio on the west side of Fort Worth.

After a year at his own studio, he ventured out for something different. Mark has engineered many projects in the Fort Worth area using various studios to complete recording projects giving him a view of many studios and their unique qualities.

Mark is currently the resident FOH engineer at Main At South Side, the newest music venue in Fort Worth where he typically works with up to 12 bands per week.

Mark brings a perspective of a recording engineer, and musician. As a guest speaker, Mark would like to bridge the gap between "the sound guy" and the artist, and talk about the "myths" that surround both recording and live sound. Let's go below the surface and really learn the insides of making a great record, and perform a great live show.

An event for members and guests starting at 7:30 am, enjoy a breakfast with many of your fellow Busicians in a setting where we can get to know each other and actually hear the conversation! Various guest speakers stimulate the conversation and of course music is often discussed.

It's a fun way to get better acquainted and learn about the business interests of other BYO members. Join us.
